T1+T2 Surge Protector Connection & Installation Basics
The LT-T25 B+C SPD is installed in parallel to the circuit that requires protection and grounded via the PE terminal. Lead lengths should be minimized to keep the voltage level down. In the case of TN systems, connect the terminals L, N and PE in accordance with the supplied connection diagram.
- Parallel connection to the PE terminal
- External disconnector in accordance with instructions
- Connection diagram is included with the product documentation

The system diagram illustrates the recommended electrical connections for the LT-T25 B+C in the distribution board. Terminal labeling follows the standard convention for L, N and PE.
How Does T1+T2 Surge Protector Compare to Alternative Protection?
Selecting a suitable surge protection diver device is important. A Type 2 SPD is normally the best option for general installation while in some locations where there will be lightning strikes; Type 1, Type 2, or a combination of both would be required.
| Feature | This SPD | Alternative |
| Type | Type 1+2 (T1+T2) SPD | Other SPD types available |
| Discharge capacity | 25kA / 50kA | Matched to network duty |
| Protection level | 1.2/1.6/2.0kV | Lower Up options available |
| Application | Commercial Buildings | Other installation types |
Export Markets & Country Compatibility
SPDs are shipped to locations across the globe, configured according to the destination country voltage and earthing system specifications.
